At the end of 'The Boys' Season 3, Queen Maeve faked her death to evade Homelander and Vought's threats. She is safe and living with her girlfriend Elena, which explains her absence in Season 4 so far.

According to creator Eric Kripke in an interview with TVLine, Maeve's story isn't over yet, and she will return before the series concludes.

During a major battle with Homelander and Soldier Boy, Maeve loses an eye while defending The Boys. To ensure her safety, she disappeared and erased her identity to avoid being found by Vought.

With The Boys' help, she staged her death and went into hiding to evade both Homelander and Vought.

Everyone believed she died in the explosion caused by Soldier Boy at the end of Season 3, but she survived. However, the radiation from the blast resulted in her losing her superpowers.

Throughout all three seasons of 'The Boys,' Queen Maeve's character has exhibited significant growth.

Initially displaying immense power, she later stood up for the innocent against Homelander and Vought's injustices.

At the end of Season 3, despite losing an eye, she bravely confronted Homelander in a fight that was abruptly interrupted by Soldier Boy's dangerous explosion.

Maeve protects The Boys by pushing Soldier Boy out of a window to prevent a nuclear explosion, sacrificing herself in the process.

This act, however, exposed her to the blast, which neutralized her Compound V and stripped her of her superpowers.

Despite this, she survived and reunited with her girlfriend Elena, planning to live a peaceful life away from Homelander's grasp.

Looking ahead to Season 4, it's hinted that Queen Maeve has more surprises in store, potentially stirring up more drama. Until then, fans eagerly await her return, hoping for a powerful comeback.
