'The Blacklist' Season 8 Episode 4: Did Liz and Ressler finally have sex? Fans say 'how you let her fool you'
As the entire fandom continues to mourn the loss of Liz Keen (Megan Boone) as we once knew her, Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) will have to rest easy knowing he was 'fooled' by the newly instated Blacklist on their radar, that too just after having a little sleepover with her. After years and episodes of the same old will they or won't they, looks like Liz finally used her ultimate weapon against him - sex - and obviously, it worked. And when we say it worked, we mean Liz was able to scam her young daughter from under their supervision and the episode ended with both Ressler and Aram Mojtabai (Amir Arison) handing in their resignations. Talk about total havoc! No wonder why fans are so agitated, asking "How you let Liz fool you" like that?
Nice guys finish last, but poor Ressler here is at the bottom of the barrel. He was first tasked with hunting down Liz and they thought it was okay meanwhile to keep her daughter Agnes under their custody because mommy's on the run from the law. But there's ongoing speculation about Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) having been training Liz to turn into exactly this for years now, and as Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) puts it she is too hardened by now. Everything changed when Red killed her mother in front of her and she too dwells in the same dark place, unable to return to life as she knew it, after what he did to her.
The same dark place also perhaps forces people to manipulate others, or maybe that's just what Blacklisters do, but Liz seems to have mastered this game. Once again, she played the puppy-eyed game with her beau, Ressler, and the two seem to have caved in to their passions and what Ressler thought was him getting through to Liz, was probably Liz's way of getting back at Red. Having Ressler on her side would definitely be a major boost than where she stands now, but given that Ressler realizes what she's doing to him and that he's handed his resignation - is the man ok? He looks like he might need more comforting now than ever.
Fans aren't as warm though and you can't blame them. Ressler has maintained his record of getting fooled by Liz and this time fans are not holding back. One of them tweeted: "Aram and Ressler are so infuriating. How two doormats became FBI agents is beyond me. How you let Liz fool you? And how you let her just walk away with her kid? Think about Agnes. What kinda life will she have on the run?" Another pointed out: "Tell them, Harold. Liz played them for fools. Especially Ressler." But it's not just this little slip up from Ressler that's bugging fans. "Ressler believes Liz. That's what worries Red. Ressler is gonna switch to Team Red before long. Liz just played him again with that list," noted one.

Another fan made fun of the situation in a hilarious setup. "Red to Ressler about Liz: "Boy, she played you" Writers of #TheBlacklist : "There will be a really great story between Liz & Ressler. We've been building it for years, this was just the beginning." #Keenler deniers: "I don’t care what the writers said, Red is always right!!" they tweeted. Others miss the fact that Ressler's interactions with Agnes are over. "What about uncle Donnie? Ressler and Agnes interactions are gone (...) do something please! We need Agnes playing with Ressler too!!"
Looks like there's a long time before that happens. Find out what's next on 'The Blacklist' Season 8 on Fridays at 8 pm only on NBC.
