AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND: During Episode 4 of 'The Bachelorette' Season 21, Jenn Tran went on a group date with Spencer Conley, Marcus Shoberg, Grant Ellis, John Mitchell, Austin Ott, Jonathan Johnson, Dylan Buckor, Thomas Nguyen, Jeremy Simon, and Sam Nejad as they participated in a spirited rugby game.

Sam's aggressive playing style helped secure a victory for his team, although some of the other contestants felt that he may have gone overboard with his intensity. The competitive nature of the game brought out both the best and worst in the guys, creating tension and drama among the group.

“Dude, you need to check yourself,” Marcus told Sam after the entrepreneur didn’t remove the trophy from the couch so he could sit down.

Sam became the first man to grab Jenn to talk and he gave her a tank top with "Sam's Wife" written on the back. “This is the cutest thing ever,” Jenn said.

When Sam returned to the group, Grant engaged in a conversation with him about the fine line between confidence and arrogance. Grant emphasized the importance of handling victories with grace. However, Sam brushed off his advice, stating that he had focused his attention on Jenn during their date.

Spencer also criticized Sam for his behavior, accusing him of acting immaturely. He pointed out that Sam was not conducting himself as a mature adult, but rather as a child.

Jonathan expressed his disapproval of Sam's "disrespectful attitude," while Thomas referred to him as a "clown show." Despite the criticism from his peers, Sam interrupted Thomas' time with Jenn, further aggravating the situation.

When Sam Nejad spoke to Jenn Tran again, he asked if he could kiss her. After conveying how much she appreciated his vulnerability, she finally told him, “I just don’t know if I can see us getting there and I would never want to lead you on.”

Jenn relayed to the remaining members of the group that she had decided to send Sam home, and followed that announcement by presenting the coveted group date rose to Marcus as a sign of her growing connection with him.
