'The Bachelor' Season 25: Matt James appears shirtless in first trailer, fans say 'he seems off and weird'
ABC has just announced the premiere dates for 'The Bachelor' Season 26 featuring Matt James. He was originally supposed to appear on Clare Crawley's season of 'The Bachelorette' but all that changed after the show went on a break during the pandemic. Showrunners cast him as the Bachelor and his season now has a trailer.
First impressions first, the mansion! It's beautiful, much better than the one where the previous seasons of 'The Bachelor' were filmed. Everything is extra squeaky and extra shiny, even our resident host Chris Harrison. We hope to see him doing the most on 'The Bachelor' just like he's been doing on 'The Bachelorette'. It's really fun to watch him run and sweat a little bit. Oh no, he's not a sweater, self-admittedly. Coming back to Matt James, we see all his suitresses arrive in high heels, shiny ball gowns, and flashing even shinier smiles, most of them going bonkers over the stunner that he is. One even trips, literally falling into his arms.
The short trailer also packed in a decent dose of steamy makeout sessions between Matt and the ladies and in another clip he wanders through the forest, shirtless, looking "delicious" according to one of his suitress. One clip also shows Matt sharing a toast with the women competing for his love, saying, "Cheers to falling in love." At the end of the clip, our shiny host Harrison is heard asking Matt, "Do you feel ready for this?" but Bachelor Nation doesn't have the answer yet.
The trailer sure looks fun and fiery, however, fans of the show are questioning Matt's intentions already, especially since he said he's never been in love ever. "The man's never been in love and you pick him for the next bachelor?? wrote a fan. "Never been in love. RED FLAG!" wrote another. "Someone who hasn't been in love and is 28?? Suggests something about his mentality. He's not there for love lol," wrote one. While another commented, "I don't really find him good looking. He's okay looking. Couldn't they find a better-looking guy for the first black bachelor? I hope he has a great personality, though." Another commented, "I'm not feeling this man at all he seems off and weird."
'The Bachelor' Season 26 will premiere on January 4, 2021, on ABC.
