For Clayton Echard, the lead of 'The Bachelor' Season 26, it has undoubtedly been one heck of a season. It was only after Susie ended things with him in Iceland that he realized she was the one he wanted to spend his life with. But by then, it was a little too late. With Susie leaving him, Clayton still had to choose between Gabby and Rachel.

Unfortunately, Clayton decided that breaking up Gabby and Rachel together was a good idea. While Gabby called him out on his behavior, Rachel broke down entirely. However, Clayton had his mind made up, Susie was the one that he wanted. But the question was, did she want him?

'The Bachelor' Season 26 Finale: Here's why Clayton might end up alone

During their last day in Iceland, Clayton was all set to get down on one knee and propose to Susie. However, after Clayton's emotional confession, Susie made it clear that she couldn't be with him after everything that happened between them. Susie walked away, making Clayton the first bachelor to end up alone at the end of the season.

However, there was a twist at the live finale, it turns out Susie and Clayton reconciled and were now dating. Although marriage was not on the cards anytime soon, they were looking at moving in together.

Fans were upset to see that Susie took Clayton back, despite everything that had happened.
