Witness Luiza Ferreira, 20, spoke of the horrifying situation and said she saw a flash of light before everyone started screaming, and suddenly noticed a woman bleeding on the ground. "I saw a huge flash just as it turned midnight and I was hugging my mum and then everyone started screaming." "I saw a woman lying on the ground bleeding when I went to look and the boy who was with her was also on the ground," as per the source. "Other people were running to get away from the area." The 41-year-old cousin of the victim told the police that she believes the unauthorized firework got caught in her clothes and exploded before the victim had a chance to remove it.
