Dottie Lasso’s arrival

After the arrival of Ted's mother, Dottie, Ted is confused and upset. She has booked a trip to London for Mother's Day to spend time with her son. Although she wanted to make sure Ted was okay, she didn't give him a heads-up that she was coming. On an ordinary day, Ted was leaving his apartment to go to work when he saw her sitting on a bench. Her arrival came as a bit of a surprise to Ted, as he sensed something was wrong, but he didn't broach the subject until he said a combination of words - "Thank you and f*** you," followed by the problems they had been having for years. Also, Dottie was loved and welcomed by everyone in Ted's life, including Rebecca, the Richmond players, Coach Beard, and even Mae. Dottie also got to talking about Ted's panic attacks and asked him if he still suffering from them.

Well, Dottie was humorous and funny. She was admired by everyone and made them laugh. Even Rebecca got all excited and happy when she saw her. Rebecca hugged her tightly and even showed her around the club. Dottie spent hours with the Richmond players gossiping about Ted's embarrassing stories. At the same time, Ted was completely distracted by her arrival, constantly worrying that something was wrong. Although he acted like a good son, taking care of Dottie and making sure she didn't get into trouble. Still, there was something that worried Ted after his mother arrived. Obviously, there were problems between the two that needed to be resolved, because forgiveness is bigger than hatred.

At dinner, Ted finally confronted her mother and asked her what was wrong, to which Dottie replied that she just wanted to spend time with him. In reality, Dottie was worried about him because he was struggling with panic attacks after his divorce. Suddenly, Ted hit her with the words, "Thank You and F*** you," followed by what she did for him and how hard she acted. He complained that she did not tell him how she felt after his father left her. Also, Dottie tells her that she wanted to say something that had to do with Ted's son. He misses him terribly and Ted gets emotional and cries while Dottie hugs him. As much as Ted was dreading Dottie's arrival, it was revealed to him that part of his life problems would be solved by reconciling with her mother.
