Spoilers for 'Supernatural' Season 15 Episode 14

Buckle up, because it's going to be an emotionally bumpy ride. 'Supernatural' just premiered with the latter half of Season 15, which also means the final set of episodes of its final season. There were Nazi enemies and wood nymphs amid a very supernatural Christmas from which Castiel (Misha Collins) was significantly and criminally missing. But while that lack of Cas has become an issue for fans, there were absolutely pure and wholesome moments between Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and Jack Kline (Alexander Calvert) that gave some hope for a healthy start. For example, Dean baking Jack a birthday cake.

While some fans noted how similar to Dean Jack can get, especially in the ways he expresses anguish and frustration, thereby making him truly Dean's kid, others noted Jack's similarities with Sam (Jared Padalecki). Kind, patient and roaring with guilt over the smallest matters, Jack really finds a comforting shoulder in Sam who helps him see the bigger picture in moments of self-doubt over being tricked by Mrs Butters - the wood nymph who tried to kill him.

However, it was only much later in the episode, in its final moments, when the Jack-Dean moments begin. And that's not just rare but absolutely unforeseen. Dean has always harbored a hostility for Jack even though he might not blatantly show that much. Still upset about Jack accidentally killing the Winchester brother's mother, Mary, Dean explicitly answers Jack in the initial moments of the episode that he won't ever be able to forget him.

So in the end, when birthday celebrations are in full swing and Jack has once again done the utmost to prove himself worthy, Dean gets him a cake. Distorted with the icing and the lettering haywire, it might not be the prettiest of cakes, but it is also symbolic of Dean's changing feelings towards Jack that some might even call the budding signs of forgiveness. Maybe after all this time and much pep talk from both Sam and Cas, Dean is finally considering burying the past and moving on to give Jack another chance and that seems to be everything for the fandom that erupted in tears.

'Supernatural' Season 15 will air on Thursdays at 8 pm only on The CW.
