'Suits' Season 9 Episode 9: Faye drags Louis and Harvey into her battle against Mike and Samantha
Just when you think Harvey (Gabriel Macht) is catching a break, he gets pulled back down, and that's just how season 9 of 'Suits' has been for New York's best attorney.
In episode 8, titled ‘Prisoner’s Dilemma,’ we saw Harvey in real trouble after a couple of men with an obsessive hatred of him went after him for the nth time. Even though the odds were stacked against him, Harvey managed to come out of it scot-free and went home to Donna (Sarah Rafferty) to celebrate, only to learn the tragic news of his mother’s death.
However, it does seem like he finds a way to cope with this personal tragedy the best way he can when we meet him in season 9 episode 9, especially because his firm is still being controlled by Faye (Denise Crosby), which he doesn’t like it one bit. His protégée, Mike (Patrick J Adams), may have the perfect solution to bail them out, and it involves him working with Samantha (Katherine Heigl).
In the promo for the upcoming episode, we see Mike telling the woman who fabricated evidence to win a case against him that the best two people to take Faye down are them. Inspired by that, she informs Faye that she is suing her for “wrongful termination.”
As fans remember, the fabrication of evidence is what led Faye to fire her from Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams, but she had no proof of this. Faye had gathered from the heated exchange between Harvey and Samantha that this is possibly what transpired. The promo leads us to believe that both Mike and Samantha will claim that there was no fabrication to begin with.
While the entire firm rejoices in Faye’s impending doom, she does the unexpected and hires Harvey and Louis (Rick Hoffman) to represent her. The duo has no option but to keep the best interest of their client as the top-most priority. This clearly dampens the mood for everyone, especially Harvey, who hates it when Mike and him are on opposite teams.
