'Suits' Season 9 Episode 10: Will Harvey pop the question to Donna before Louis' wedding?
Anyone who watches 'Suits' knows that Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Donna Paulsen's (Sarah Rafferty) romantic journey has been far from easy. From friends to lovers, Harvey especially needed quite a bit of push to finally see that Donna is the woman he needs by his side for the rest of his life. Thanks to Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams), they got together even if it was during the final season of the series.
And, once they did, it is almost like a switch had turned in Harvey's brain and it seems like this was a long time in the making. He even has the blessings of those near and dear to him. Even though Harvey's mother Lily Specter (Brynn Thayer) never got to meet Donna as Harvey's better half, she approved of their relationship and made her feelings clear in a letter.
After Lily died of a heart attack in Season 9, Harvey's younger brother handed the envelope addressed to him, after expressing how happy he was that Harvey has Donna in his life now. The envelope contained the letter from Lily which read that she is happy that Harvey and Donna are together and that she wants to ensure Harvey has a ring to propose to Donna with when the time comes.
Accompanying the letter was a beautiful ring which Lily clearly hopes Harvey proposes to Donna with, and we presume that it is going to happen before we say goodbye to these characters.
Harvey has a lot going on in his life right now, with the firm falling apart, his best friend losing the partnership, and another close friend getting fired. Beyond all this, he is also forced to fight the very people he wants to back in court, while also dealing with his mother's sudden death.
Clearly he was not ready to propose right away, but from his conversation with Donna in the previous episode—where he told her that he would love to share the details of his mother's letter, but not just yet—it is evident that he wants to propose. And, 'One Last Con,' the final episode of the series, may offer him the perfect opportunity to do it.
Season 9 Episode 10 of 'Suits' will air on USA Today on Wednesday, September 25, and it may just be the most romantic episode of the entire series, especially with Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) and Sheila Sazs' (Rachael Harris) wedding and hopefully Harvey and Donna's engagement.
