Volume one of ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 has broken almost all the viewership records since it made its way to Netflix last month. Fans praised the makers for a much darker and matured edition of the sci-fi series, claiming that this is undoubtedly the best they have seen. Apart from praising the storytelling part, fans just cannot stop raving about Sadie Sink’s performance on the show, especially in Episode 4 of the ongoing edition.

In ‘Dear Billy’, Max (Sadie Sink) gets to know that Vecna is coming for her and she can’t do anything to defend herself. She gives up and when Vecna comes for her, her friends save her from the wrath of the deadly monster. However, one of the most striking aspects of that entire situation was the letters that she wrote for everyone. After getting to know that her end might possibly be near, Max decides to write letters for everyone in her group, including Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). She gives Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Steve (Joe Keery), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) the letters and tells them to open them when she is gone.

As soon as she gave them the letters, fans were curious to know what she could have written in her letter to Lucas. So, if you are one of them who wanted to what was in that letter, rejoice, we finally have an answer for you.

While speaking in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress revealed what may lie within the letter to her ex-boyfriend Lucas. Although she can’t reveal what’s really in those letters, she knows what her character might have told Lucas while feeling that her time has come.

“With Max and Lucas, it’s so tricky because they both just really care about each other, but the love and care that Lucas has for Max terrify her, and the love and care that she has for Lucas terrifies her, so she would never say anything to that extent in person,” Sink said during the interview.

The actress also opined that the letter might see Max telling about her feelings to Lucas and expressing how much she cares for her. She said, “So, I think throughout this letter, hypothetically, she would probably express some of that care and love that she has for him in a really genuine and vulnerable way. Or maybe she’s not letting go of her values even when she’s dead, and it’s just writing on paper.”

Max and Lucas began dating each other at the end of Season 2, but things didn’t turn out well for both of them after the tragic death of Billy in the third season. In the first episode of Season 4, while talking to the school’s counselor, Max reveals that she has broken up with Lucas, but offers no further details. Meanwhile, Lucas believes that “grief” is the reason why Max has broken up with her.

As we wait for Volume 2 to arrive, we know one thing for sure things might get even more intense for the ex-couple because the trailer for Volume two revealed that Lucas might find himself in a dangerous situation and it won’t be easy for him to come out of it.
