For all those going gaga over the latest addition to the Star Wars franchise, that is Solo: A Star Wars Story, there’s bigger news! Fan speculations believe that the movie possibly dropped a massive clue that Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and W.B. Weiss could be working on a Knights of the Old Republic trilogy of movies.

The easter egg revealed in Solo refers to Exar Kun in Dryden Vos' headquarters. And Lucasfilm confirmed that one of the exotic artifacts on the table hails from the Sith Temple of Exar Kun – something that has several fans of the franchise super excited as this means Kun could be now canon!

The Art of Solo: A Star Wars Story book by Phil Szostak holds the description of the extravagant table in Dryden Vos’ office. This table has a large chunk of obsidian on it with hieroglyphics engraved in it. And as the Star Wars history would have it, the stone indeed came from quite a dark place the new discovery leading directly to the Knights of the Old Republic.

The book reads: "The central desk, which represents the administrative seat of his power, is a bespoke piece of furniture. The stone base, that Dryden has plundered from the Sith temple of Exar Kun, is made from polished obsidian and decorated with carved hieroglyphs representing spells that protected its former home."

With Rian Johnson currently working on his own Star Wars trilogy and Jon Favreau's TV series taking place in a time span between the Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, it leaves only Benioff and Weiss to prospectively take up the Knights of the Old Republic movie – especially since they could introduce Exar Kun as official canon in Solomay.

Exar Kun is the same Jedi Knight who happened to fall into the dark side and went on to become the Dark Lord of the Sith. He waged a war against the Galactic Republic and Jedi during the Old Sith Wars. Wookieepedia says that while being a student under Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, he came across the forbidden knowledge of the history of the Sith. Confident about his abilities and obsessed with the history of the Sith is what lead him to be consumed by the dark side.

At the same time, Wookipedia also denied Exar Kun's current canonical status.

But there’s more; Game of Thrones and Solo star Emilia Clarke who has worked with Benioff and Weiss, was asked what the two could possibly be cooking up with regards to their secret Star Wars project, and she quipped that it will be unlike anything ever seen before, reported MovieWeb. "Star Wars on acid" – is how she described it.

Sure enough, Exar Kun’s story seems like an apt fit for that!
