'Sistas' Season 2 Episode 6: Will Danni give up on Preston after meeting James at Maurice's party?

When Danni sees James, who happens to be a straight man working at a gay bar, she starts to flirt. Did Danni think her days with Preston are over? Is she moving on already?

This episode titled 'That Look' was a slow one, as each of the girls in the group tried to navigate their love lives. What was unfortunate though was that Preston Horace (Trinity Whiteside), Daniella 'Danni' King's (Mignon) man was yet again, not seen at all in these episodes -- that's two episodes in a row. After they had fought in Episode 4 when Danni got mad that Preston had handcuffed her, thinking it was "slave play," Preston left and was not receiving her calls. He didn't even return her calls. This episode saw a frustrated Danni choose one way of trying to get over things -- "the best way of getting over a man, is getting under a new one." While they were at Maurice's (Brian Jordan Jr.) party, Danni decides to go even though she's upset about Preston. When she sees James, who happens to be a straight man working at a gay bar, she starts to flirt. Did Danni think her days with Preston are over? Is she moving on already? 

While the start of the episode gave us that vibe, towards the end we saw a much more reserved Danni - it seems that Preston really did on her. Her friends didn't allow her to leave early and Maurice, who she doesn't get along with, ended up asking James to dance with her. Danni doesn't say no but doesn't seem to be all over James either -- something we or the fans didn't expect. "Preston really got to Danni. Cause any other time she would be all over a man #SistasOnBET," wrote one fan. Even though Danni always pushed Preston away, he seemed to always come back. This was the first time that he's show resistance to her apology for overreacting. It obviously has taken a toll on her, but we don't think she's over Preston that quick. Another fan added, "Aww Danni really in a funk about Preston #SistasOnBET #ThatDamnDanni"

Of course, Danni isn't looking to be in a relationship with James -- he'd only be a rebound, but fans were not about to have that. "James, Keep your hands off Danni's ass. @thejonmoody @MinnieV23 @coryhardrict @BET @tylerperry @SistasOnBET #SistasOnBET," wrote one fan. Another fan added, "Danni, call Preston. Please don’t get with anyone else. #SistasOnBET "

The Danni-Preston fandom has been going on a while now, and it seems as though the couple's story is finally moving forward in the upcoming episode. There has been a stall for two episodes, and all we saw was Danni upset and Preston missing, but will Danni be over it? Is Preston taking too long? It makes sense that Preston is upset at her, if you ask us, he's in the right -- but where's the communication? How much of the silent treatment is Danni willing to take? On the contrary, some fans were upset at Danni.

One fan tweeted, "It’s clear to me that Danni is uncomfortable with Preston. She know damn well that this is her first interracial relationship and same as Preston. It’s all new to her. Will it kill her to teach him? #SistasOnBET " Another fan added, "I want Danni with the cowboy. Yeah he slipped but he's from a different world. It's going to happen. They gotta learn eachother. #SistasOnBET "
