'Shark Tank': Sunflow owners snub Daniel Lubetzky for Kevin O'Leary's royalty deal
Beach days are all fun and games until you realize you have to drag along a heavy and clunky beach chair. If you've been looking for the perfect beach chair that is easy to carry, fuss-free and accommodates all your needs, Sunflow has what you need!
Now, the question is, will Sunflow be able to impress Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Kevin O'Leary and Daniel Lubetzky? Here's what happened during their pitch.

Leslie Hsu and Greg Besner of Sunflow were hoping for a $1 million investment for 6% equity in their company. At a $16 million valuation, they did come with some pretty impressive numbers -- they had made $2.9 million in sales and sold 100% of their product direct to consumers. The chairs retailed for $198 and cost $70 to make, with accessories sold separately. Leslie also spoke about how her parents were immigrants, and with the little he had, her father managed to create a mulit-million dollar construction company. He passed away a week ago and she hoped to honor his memory.
Their story resonated with Daniel Lubetzky, whose own father had to quit school early on and was sent to a concentration camp. He made them an offer -- $1 million for 22.5%. However, the couple got so caught up in Mark's questions that they didn't counter Daniel, causing him to take his offer off the table. The rest of the sharks were quick to back out, leading to Kevin being the last one standing. He made them an offer of $1 million for 5% equity and royalty until he recovered $2 million. They countered with 5% equity with royalty upto $1 million. Kevin however, stated that he wanted 6% for $2 million, causing the couple to take him up on his first offer.
Some fans were impressed with Sunflow, but others, not so much. "I was worried a $16.7 million valuation was too big but congrats to them for making a deal. #SharkTank" tweeted a fan. "Wow! Congratulations to @kevinolearytv and #Sunflow! We hope your beach brand grows and prospers! #SharkTank" added another. "Not paying $200 for a beach chair. They're not that hard to fold up manually. Plus I bet this chair is heavy." tweeted a fan. "I can rent nicer chairs and an umbrella, for a week, for less than the cost of one chair. And I don't have to carry them. #SharkTank" pointed out another.
