LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During the January 12 episode of 'Shark Tank,' three young "winning entrepreneurs" proposed the world's first longboard with brakes, which astounded viewers. As the internet dubs the product "pointless", many wonders how they could manage a $250k deal with Mark Cuban.

During the interesting new episode, viewers were introduced to an innovative new skateboard brake system built by VibeRide, which adds an extra element of safety and adventure to the thrilling sport. The increased brakes are an excellent feature for both beginners and professionals, providing newbies with an extra safety net and allowing experts to tackle even steeper slopes without fear of slowing down or losing control.

Young entrepreneurs Carson Macdonald, Charlie Cannon, and Chris Goodhue all approached the stage to showcase their innovative new product to the "sharks" in the hopes of securing money for their idea.

And fortunately for the eager young skateboarders, millionaire Mark was along for the trip. After their strong pitch, Mark struck an agreement with Group Three to invest $250k in the new product and receive a 12% profit share.

On Reddit, fans haven't been too welcoming of the product, as some wrote, "This really just feels pointless to me?" Another user chimed in, "Good idea, flawed execution."

One user further wrote, "Vibe ride is built in a throne of LIES. There have been at least 2 longboard brakes before this. The vibe ride owners even bought the patents to an already existing brake." A fourth person added, "What is the point of this?"

VibeRide was founded by three college mates with innovative idea

Carson, Charlie, and Chris founded VibeRide in 2022 with the objective of revolutionizing the longboarding and skateboarding industries. Their revolutionary braking mechanism tackles the long-standing issue of stopping a longboard, particularly while traversing steep descents.

The simple act of pressing a lever near the rear foot engages the brake, removing the need for traditional foot braking methods that frequently cause wear on the bottoms of the riders' shoes.

VibeRide looking to capture future markets

VibeRide has a bright future in the worldwide skateboarding business, which is expected to be worth USD 3.22 billion by 2022. North America, accounting for 40% of total revenue, provides a profitable prospect for the corporation.

Building on the success of their unique braking system, the creators intend to broaden their product offerings and continue to disrupt the industry. Their objective is to equip skateboarders with safer and more effective braking techniques, while also accommodating different styles and preferences.

In addition to its famous longboard brakes, the business offers brakeboards and brake kits, with aspirations to expand into electric scooters and e-boards. The company's net worth is now assessed at $2 million.
