'Selling The Big Easy' Preview: Brittany Picolo-Ramos helps a NOLA native couple find a bigger space in the city

It's time for another episode of the new series 'Selling The Big Easy' to premiere on HGTV. The show started airing last week on the network with two back to back episodes. According to HGTVs website, the upcoming episode will see New Orleans' famed real estate expert Brittany Picolo-Ramos help a couple native to NOLA find their new abode. The couple has specific tastes and requirements and have outgrown their existing home and want to find a property that'd be larger in terms of space while also featuring all the things the couple needs in their forever home. Like the audiences saw in Episode 1, Brittany and her team also join forces to stage and help a property. In Episode 2, the team will be challenged to stage and list a client's midcentury modern renovation in a highly sought-after neighborhood. Last week on the series premiere episode of the show, Brittany was seen helping couple Kyle and Kaylan find the house of their dreams in New Orleans. They settled for a beautiful 3,250 sq.ft. home comprising of four bedrooms and baths that cost them $995,000. This series marked Brittany's TV debut but if Twitter is anything to go by, she didn't manage to impress the audiences who cried hoarse claiming that the show promoted gentrification of the city.

"Trying to watch @hgtv new show Selling The Big Easy. I do not think I am going to make the whole episode. So bored and the host is trying to be way out there(I believe she thinks she is funny and cutesy) anyway...just my own opinion," wrote a viewer. 



 

"I didn’t consider any show on hgtv was bottom tier or just horrible fr. Just shows I wouldn’t go out of my way to watch. But boy has Selling the Big Easy change my mind," wrote another. 



 

"Please get that @hgtv Selling The Big Easy show the fuck out of New Orleans. Like we don’t already have a huge gentrification problem already," wrote another viewer. 



 

"HGTV has this new show called “Selling the Big Easy” which should really be called “Gentrification Because of Katrina...” and host’s sporadic Blaccent just makes it that much worse," read another comment. 



 

"I'm not from NOLA, but I am 3 minutes in ane already offended by HGTV's "Selling the Big Easy". Can we say gentrification much?" wrote another viewer.
