The ladies are back for a new season, and there's more tension than ever before. 'Selling Sunset' resumed for a fifth season on Netflix on April 22, with more tea from the ladies of LA's Oppenheim Group.

Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa clashed on the new season of 'Selling Sunset' after Heather did not invite Christine to her bridal shower prior to her nuptials to Tarek El Moussa. Christine told newbie real estate agent Chelsea Lazkani that she was disappointed that Heather had not invited her since she considered Heather to be a "sister". "It feels s**tty to not be invited to any of Heather's events. Heather was at my wedding. She was at my dress fitting, and for me to just be alienated, it sucks!" Christine said.

Chelsea swayed her to send Heather a present nevertheless, but when the present, a big flower display with a note, landed at the bridal shower, the other ladies were unimpressed, believing Christine was trying to steal the limelight. Even though Maya and Amanza tried to convince Emma that the present was a "nice" gesture, Emma thought it was inappropriate. As Christine and Heather haven't spoken since Jason's party, some speculated that the present was Christine's attempt to steal the show. Heather was caught off guard.

Heather agreed to meet Christine for lunch after admitting that the lavish gift "ruined" the shower. Christine's tardiness on the day, on the other hand, did not help to smooth things over. "I've been waiting," Heather said as she entered, to which Christine answered, "I know, I've been waiting for myself my whole life!" Heather shared her dissatisfaction with Christine because the latter had to leave her children alone for the meeting. Heather also reminded her that they hadn't spoken in two years and that she doesn't feel Christine is being sincere in her attempt at reconciliation when she sent her the "huge, extravagant flower arrangement."

Christine wanted to clear the air and start over with Heather, but Heather believes Christine "f**ked up her relationships" with many people in the office. Christine attempted to deny the accusation, claiming that she was kidding most of the time when she made the statements that eventually ended up hurting her co-stars. Heather advises Christine that if she continues to harm people with her humor, she will not be able to rebuild friendships as humor does not cure everything. She then inquires as to why Christine is constantly on the defense. Christine tells Heather that she has always been there for her, even when things with others were not going well. She also said that Heather was the one girl she genuinely cares about. Christine, heartbroken, promises Heather that she would do whatever to mend their friendship.

What led to a spat between the former buddies?

Christine couldn't help but slip a few jabs in at the former Playboy model's romance with the HGTV personality Tarek El Moussa, which became a prominent focus of season 3. In a July 2020 interview with Page Six, the Texas native teased about the couple's "interesting dynamic," even comparing them to Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag from 'The Hills'. "I call them 'Speidi' all the time because it’s like articles all the time about baking cookies, you know, watching movies," she explained at the time. "It's ridiculous, so you know, you're going to see the girls and I just get so tired of it."

Four months after that, the 'Flip or Flop' host retaliated. "Christine has a big mouth," he remarked on a December 2020 episode of 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast, "She said some s**ty things about us. ... We're not really interested in dealing with her nonsense." The HGTV star, who featured in multiple episodes with his now-wife, was introduced to fans in Season 4 of 'Selling Sunset'. Heather sought to address her difficulties with Christine in the finale, only to stomp off as her coworker dismissed the issues. Heather and her now-husband departed the celebration without resolving their differences with Christine.
