Plot

Melissa (Cecily Strong) and Josh (Keegan Michael-Key), play a couple who go on a backpacking trip in Europe to fix their failing relationship. During their trip, the couple accidentally land in Schmigadoon, a small town that looks like it's straight out of the 1940s studio musical. When Melissa and Josh try to leave the town, they realize that they can't leave it until they find 'true love'.

As mentioned earlier, 'Schmigadoon!' was inspired by the Broadway hit 'Brigadoon', which has a similar plotline. The 1940s broadway featured two American tourists Tommy and Jeff, who stumble upon a mysterious Scottish village name Brigadoon that appears for only one day every 100 years.
