The popular comedy sketch show, 'Saturday Night Live' aka ‘SNL’ Season 46, kick-started in October 2020 and got thumbs up from the audience for its politically inclined skits and fresh faces as hosts and musical guests. However, Episode 15 of the same season will not be airing on Saturday, March 13.

Recent episodes of NBC’s show saw artists namely Chris Rock, Bill Burr, Issa Rae, John Mulaney, Dave Chappelle, Jason Bateman, Timothee Chalamet, Nick Jonas, ‘Bridgerton ‘star Rege-Jean Page among a few others taking over as the host. Now, the show is taking a short break and will only be returning on March 27, 2021. During the off-week, the network will air two ‘SNL’ re-runs. The first re-run will be of Season 43 where one of the episodes was hosted by former cast member Bill Hader, with Arcade Fire as the musical guest. The second re-run will be from the current season.

What's going to be special in Season 46 Episode 15?

The former cast member Maya Rudolph will host Episode 15 of the current season on March 27. Rudolph was a part of the 'SNL' cast from 2000 to 2007 but she did make occasional appearances in between. Maya earned a lot of appreciation when she performed as now Vice President Kamala Harris in her last appearance. Rudolph won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for the same.

What to expect?

Apart from the very talented Maya Rudolph, the episode to be aired on March 27 will also see Jack Harlow as the musical guest. We can expect a hilarious opening monologue from Rudolph along with her impressive acting skills in the 'SNL' skits. If we talk about Harlow, he will, of course, be taking over the stage with his hit single, ‘Whats Poppin’ and other tracks from his debut album ‘Thats What They All Say’. ‘Saturday Night Live’ is known for its slapstick comedy and sharp commentary on the latest issues but with a funny twist. 'SNL' is also famous for its comedy sketches, which often parody contemporary culture and politics.
