Body of Sarah Ashley Hill found in SAME PLACE she was last seen four years ago!
WESTFIELD, NORTH CAROLINA: The dead body of a woman was found buried inside a house in Westfield, North Carolina, four years after she disappeared. Sarah Ashley Hill had not been seen since June 2018 but a missing report was filed for her in August of that year.
As per a combined statement by Stokes and Surry counties sheriffs, “The search was conducted to obtain information, evidence, and any other leads related to the missing person investigation of Sarah Ashley Hill who was originally reported missing out of Patrick County, Virginia.” It has been said that Hill’s cause and manner of death are yet to be determined after the horrific discovery at the property in Westfield on October 17.

However, an autopsy carried out at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center confirmed that the remains were of her; Hill was 33 when she vanished. The official statement from the authorities reportedly noted, “Detectives brought in specialized personnel to utilize heavy equipment to move dirt and terrain and stabilize an existing structure. Stokes County Sheriff Joey Lemons mentioned that the search led detectives to locate human remains.”
To find Hill, three different properties on Mount Airy’s King Park Circle were reportedly searched before the cops landed at “the property located in Stokes County, North Carolina. Ms. Hill was last seen at that property around the time of her disappearance,” the official press release stated before adding, “The investigation is ongoing at this time. Little to no additional information will be released to protect the integrity of the investigation. If anyone has any information regarding the death of Ms. Hill, they are strongly encouraged to contact the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office and/or the Surry County Sheriff’s Office.”
After the gruesome finding, Stormi Bobbitt who attended school with Hill, said, “She was always nice to me and she was always fun to be around. I guess her kindness is what really stuck out to me.” Bobbitt has now created a GoFundMe for Hill’s devastated family in which she wrote, “Most of you have seen Sarah Hill's face. Either on missing posters, FaceBook posts or news stories. She has been missing since June 6, 2018. Sarah has finally made her way home to her Mother. You may have known her by her nickname, Red, or maybe you didn't know her at all but feel like you do because you've seen her story for so long. She deserves a proper service and to finally be laid to rest.”
“We would like to make it so this isn't a cost her family has to shoulder. I did not know Sarah much as an adult. I did know her as a teen and she showed me nothing but kindness. She did that for lots of others too. Her family has had to wait four years for answers. Please help take care of this so that this isn't another worry they have to carry,” she added.
Besides, Hill's sister, April Cain, issued a statement that read, “We would like to thank all of the involved law enforcement agencies for all their hard work and persistence. Also, Sarah will be home now where she belongs. She will forever remain in all of her friends and family's hearts. She will be remembered for her creativity, work ethic and big heart.”
