Ryan Reynolds reveals 'Free Guy' is his favorite movie, fans say it's all about the booty
The coronavirus pandemic has caused delays to many of the most highly anticipated films of 2020 and that includes Ryan Reynolds' upcoming comedy flick 'Free Guy'. The movie, which was initially scheduled to release on July 3, has now been delayed till December 11.
On April 27, Reynolds shared a 'Free Guy' cover shot featuring himself and actress Jodie Comer for Total Film magazine and he declared in captions that the movie is his favorite one he's ever done.
"Love the #FreeGuy cover shot for @totalfilm," he captioned the post, which has been shared on both his Twitter and Instagram. "It’s my favorite movie I’ve ever done. Just an absolute fastball of joy. Can’t wait to get it out there. On... December 11th?"
The fans are certainly excited for the film despite the delay, partly thanks to Reynolds' "well-crafted" buttocks. Here are some of the reactions from Twitter proving the point:
One fan commented on Reynolds' post writing, "Well, when you get to wear tight-fitting pants like those, why wouldn’t it be your favorite? 😜"
"I have to say you work those pants," another fan tweeted.
Yet another fan went into extreme detail writing, "This one appears to be essentially about Yer' Booty. A fine well crafted Tush to be sure, with a snug tight fit."
While there are more reactions about Ryan Reynolds' backside, there were also a few fans who seemed surprised that 'Deadpool' isn't the Canadian actor's favorite movie he's done. After all, he practically got the movie made singlehandedly despite 20th Century Fox being largely uninterested in the project.
One fan asked, "...was Deadpool not the best film you’ve ever done?" while another fan commented that at least 'Free Guy' is definitely "Better than green lantern". On that latter point, we think we can all agree.
'Free Guy' features Reynolds as Guy, a Non-Player Character in a video game called 'Free City' that combines elements of 'Grand Theft Auto' and 'Fortnite'. The movie also features Jodie Comer as Milly / Molotov Girl, Joe Keery as Keys, Lil Rel Howery as Buddy, Utkarsh Ambudkar as Mouser, Camille Kostek as Beauty, and Taika Waititi as Antoine, the game's publisher.
'Free Guy' will launch in theaters on December 11.
