Writer-director Tyler Perry is known for dishing out uniquely thrilling storylines. The multifaceted filmmaker is now ready to showcase his work on the small screen. 'Ruthless', the upcoming drama on BET+ will mark the first original series from the house of Perry and it seems quite promising from the first look of it.

Release Date

The 24-episode series will premiere on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Each one-hour episode is scheduled to stream weekly.

Plot

‘Ruthless’ is a spinoff of the hit series ‘The Oval’, also created by Tyler Perry. The plot follows the chilling story of Ruth Truesdale, who kidnaps her young daughter to join a dark cult of sex-crazed religious followers. Ruth will have to play nice with the powerful cult, so she can free her daughter and herself from their fearsome influence.
