'Ruthless', the upcoming drama on BET+ will mark the first original series from the house of Perry and it seems quite promising from the first look of it.
Release Date
The 24-episode series will premiere on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Each one-hour episode is scheduled to stream weekly.
Plot
‘Ruthless’ is a spinoff of the hit series ‘The Oval’, also created by Tyler Perry. The plot follows the chilling story of Ruth Truesdale, who kidnaps her young daughter to join a dark cult of sex-crazed religious followers. Ruth will have to play nice with the powerful cult, so she can free her daughter and herself from their fearsome influence.

Melissa L Williams is an American actor who plays the role of Ruth Truesdale in the series. She is previously recognized for playing the role of Carmen in 'F.A.M.E'. She has also appeared in other television series, short films, a commercial and several modeling projects.
Stephanie Charles is an actress and producer, who plays Sarah's character in the drama series. She is previously known for shows like ‘The Paynes’, ‘Shameless’ and ‘NCIS’
Jaime Callica is a Canadian-American actor, known for his work in ‘Almost Human’, ‘The 100’, ‘Wayward Pines’, and more.
