Plot

'Running Wild With Bear Grylls' aired its initial four seasons on NBC. It was renewed for a fifth season in 2019 but the show moved on from the Peacock network to National Geographic. "Hollywood's fan favorites come along for another adventurous ride to join Grylls in new challenges that make even the bravest shudder. Each week, a new celebrity guest leaves the luxury of their homes to venture into some of the most extreme environments in the world to conquer fears, test their limits, and sometimes dabble in nature's not-so-tasty delicacies. Continuing to push superstars' comfort levels, this season Grylls travels the globe from the deserts of Utah to the Dolomites of Italy and the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California for more epic, life-changing adventures," the release adds.

Cast

'American Idol' mentor Bobby Bones, 'The Falcon' actor Anthony Mackie, 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' actor and 'America's Got Talent' host Terry Crews, former pro-racing driver Danica Patrick, Disney's show 'Brain Games' presenter Keegan-Michael Key, 'Sons of Anarchy' actor Danny Trejo and 'The Office' star Rainn Wilson will be joining Grylls on the show. Also on the lineup is controversial actress Gina Carano who was recently fired from 'The Mandalorian' for her social media activity that was viewed as problematic by a majority of her fans. Whether the channel will air the episode featuring her or will choose to axe it remains to be seen.
