Renovating a home under a specific time limit is stressful. In addition to that, put a couple of extremely talented builders and designers, set a few challenges and make it a competition with the stakes higher than ever before. Well, if there's anyone who is up for this challenge, it would have to be the all-star teams of 'Rock the Block' Season 2!

Each team, which is made up of two HGTV hosts that specialize in either decor or renovation is given a bare home, with a $250,000 dollar market value. It's up to these teams to redesign the homes and bump up the home's price. Armed with a sizeable budget and a construction crew, the race is on to see who ultimately wins the contest and the ultimate bragging rights — a street named after them!

Who is Egypt Sherrod? 'Rock the Block' judge was a former radio host before she showed interest in real estate

After last week's episode, 'Rock the Living Rooms', David Bromstad and Tiffany Brooks bagged a win with their stunningly vibrant living spaces. The duo not only grabbed their first win, but also a cash bonus of $2,000 that instantly bumped up their budget.

This week, the teams had to renovate the main bedroom and bath — 'Rock the Main Bedrooms', but that's not all. Halfway through the episode, the teams found out that they had to take on a color challenge — each team had to go in blindfolded, pick a paint color and use it in some way to accent their spaces. Not all the teams were thrilled with their colors; they have no choice but to use them. To add to the tension, the judging process was also a blind one, where this week's judges — 'Flipping Virgins' and 'Property Virgins' host Egypt Sherrod and her husband Mike Jackson would judge each space without knowing who it belonged to before them.

Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt

Main suite budget: $29,000
Colour challenge shade: Blue

The Kleinschmidt's had a very clear vision going into their challenge — the bedrooms had to work to their design strengths and more importantly, utility. The judges, Egypt and her husband Mike were quick to pick up on this, seeing that the couple added additional closet space and did something that no other team did, created an attached laundry room which seemed to have won the judges over.

Even their large bathroom scored them additional brownie points. For the color challenge, the couple went with a funky blue artwork in the laundry room, which had a quirky hanger print on it that the judges loved.

Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent

Main suite budget: $30,000
Colour challenge shade: Red

While Berkus and Brent's decision to go big with their bathroom was an instant hit. Sherrod noted that the draped wall in the bedroom immediately shrunk the place in size.

However, she and her husband Jackson definitely appreciated the stunning use of reclaimed wood and additional vanity space that they deem essential for any couple. They did struggle to find the color challenge, seeing that Berkus and Brent hid it behind the curtain in the bedroom.

Alison Victoria and Mike Holmes

Main suite budget: $36,000
Colour challenge shade: Green

Alison Victoria and Mike Holmes focused on creating a stunning bathroom with gorgeous ombré tiles. Victoria's design element here was an instant hit with the judges, as this look completely sets the place apart and gave it a unique identity.

Another feature that won the judges over was his and hers closet, seeing that no other team had created a separate closet space. One of the massive cons, however, was Victoria's stick figure painting that made use of the green the pair got allotted with during the color challenge.

David Bromstad and Tiffany Brooks

Main suite budget: $34,000
Colour challenge shade: Yellow

Egpyt Sherrod was instantly blown over by the size of the bedroom and the bright colors. Bromstad's risk to go with black tiles in the bathroom was a win, although she did note that the design seemed rather high-end, which might not appeal to everyone.

The reading nook was another win, along with Bromstad's quirky banana painting which had to be used.

This week's win proved to be a rather close call, seeing that each team had something that stood out instantly. However, the team that came out on top again was Alison and Mike, thanks to their winning idea of his and her closets. They even won an additional $3,000, which bumped up their budget. Brian and Mike seemed rather upset at their loss, considering they believed that their connected laundry room was far more valuable. Sherrod pointed out that it was, in fact, a close win and that the couple should take more design risks.

Catch Season 2 of 'Rock The Block' every Monday at 9 pm ET/PT on HGTV and you can stream the same on Discovery+.
