LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Robert De Niro is one of the greatest actors of all time and his legendary career is a testament to his success. Even after being a part of the industry for over five decades, we have never seen De Niro playing a pivotal role in a TV series. That’s a travesty, right? But things are about to be changed because Netflix is set to enthrall viewers with a new political series with De Niro playing the lead role.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Goodfellas’ star is set to star in a Netflix limited series titled ‘Zero Day’ in which he will be reportedly seen playing the role of a former US president. The report also indicates that the series is being created by ‘Narcos’ showrunner Eric Newman and Noah Oppenheim, the president of NBC News. The duo will be writing the script for the upcoming series, with Oppenheim producing the series along with De Niro and Jonathan Glickman.
