Those who follow actor Rob Lowe on social media are familiar with the fact that he's trolled by his sons often. It's John Owen, the younger of his two sons, who is more proficient at it, and has even done so in person, most famously at the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

However, dissing isn't the only thing that John's good at. The son of the '9-1-1: Lone Star' and 'Parks and Recreation' star is a writer, producer, and actor. He has donned the hat of a story editor on '9-1-1: Lone Star' and has also penned several episodes. Owen will soon be seen alongside his father in 'Unstable,' a Netflix family drama that they've co-created and executive produced along with Victor Fresco. So, what is 'Unstable' all about? Keep on reading to find out!

The synopsis of 'Unstable,' according to Deadline, reads, "Set in a cutting-edge biotech research company, the series stars John Owen Lowe as socially-challenged son who goes to work for his very successful, wildly eccentric father, played by Rob Lowe, in order to save him from disaster." Speaking after the announcement, Netflix Head of Comedy Tracy Pakosta said that she is "very excited" to work with the Lowes and Fresco. The trio and "their smart sensibilities are a perfect fit for our growing slate of scripted comedies," Pakosta said.

This won't be the first time John and Rob are working together as the father and son have already starred in 'The Grinder', a Fox legal comedy, and 'Holiday In The Wild', a Netflix film co-starring Kristin Davis. Victor Fresco, is also no stranger to Netflix, as he created and executive produced 'Santa Clarita Diet' for the streamer. The zom-com had Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant playing lead.

Apart from 'Unstable,' John will soon appear in 'Grace Point,' an independent film by Rory Karpf that he has produced and acted in. Fresco, on the other hand, is working on an HBO Max comedy series about the former first daughter Alice Roosevelt Longworth while Rob Lowe is set to star in a film titled 'Dog Gone.'
