LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Road House', starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Lukas Gage, Darren Barnet, and Austin Post in pivotal roles, premiered on Prime Video on Thursday, March 21.

In this modern take on the 1989 cult classic, Jake Gyllenhaal portrays Dalton, a former UFC fighter who unexpectedly finds himself employed at a secluded roadhouse in the heart of the Florida Keys.

With a blend of action, suspense, and intrigue, this reimagining explores more complex aspects of Dalton's journey, presenting a fresh perspective on a familiar tale.

Patrick Swayze, an American actor, dancer, and singer-songwriter, played James Dalton in the 1989 movie 'Road House'.

Dalton, a mysterious man known as a 'cooler' in the world of bouncers, was hired to bring order to the chaotic Double Deuce biker bar in Jasper, Missouri.

In 2008, Swayze was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. After fighting cancer for 20 months and undergoing experimental treatments at Stanford University, Swayze died on September 14, 2009.

In the original 'Road House,' Kelly Lynch played Dr Elizabeth Clay. After Dalton sustains a knife wound while working at the tumultuous Double Deuce bar, he encounters Dr Elizabeth Clay when he is admitted to the hospital.

Lynch is best known for 'Cocktail', 'Road House', 'Desperate Hours', 'Mr. Magoo', 'Charlie's Angels' and 'Joe Somebody'.

In 2023, she made a highly anticipated return to television screens, taking on a role in the Apple TV+ comedy-drama series 'Physical', where she starred alongside Rose Byrne.

Last week, she was spotted at a pre-Oscar dinner hosted by Charles Finch.

Sam Elliott, who has received numerous awards, including a Screen Actors Guild Award and a National Board of Review Award, portrayed Wade Garrett in the original film 'Road House'.

Wade was depicted as an experienced 'cooler,' responsible for keeping peace in bars using physical means when required.

In 2023, Elliott reprised his role on 'Family Guy' as Mayor Wild West, the cousin of the late Adam West. Presently, Elliott resides on a seaside ranch in Malibu, California, alongside his wife.

Ben Gazzara, a distinguished actor with accolades including a Primetime Emmy Award and a Drama Desk Award, took on the role of the antagonist Brad Wesley in 'Road House'.

Tragically, in 2012, Gazzara died due to pancreatic cancer at the age of 81, marking the end of a remarkable career in film, television, and theater.

Kevin Tighe played Frank Tilghman, the owner of the Double Deuce bar, in 'Road House'.

Tighe is best known for his iconic portrayal of firefighter-paramedic Roy DeSoto on the NBC series 'Emergency!', which aired from 1972 to 1977.

Tighe's last on-screen appearance was in 2016, and he has since taken a break from acting. In 2023, Randy Mantooth and Tighe, known for their roles as Johnny and Roy on 'Emergency!,' respectively, reunited for a podcast.

In 2022, she was seen in three episodes of 'CSI: Vegas'. Recently, she marked St Patrick's Day by celebrating with Marc Mahoney, a well-known American tattoo artist.
