Spoiler alert for 'Riverdale' Season 4 Episode 16 'Chapter Seventy-Three: The Locked Room'

'Riverdale' finally came out with the news we all suspected in the last episode, Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) is alive. The scheme that his girlfriend Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) set in place went as smoothly as possible and the Stonies were definitely shook. However, Donna Sweett (Sarah Desjardins) wasn't as fooled as her puppy Bret Weston Wallis (Sean Depner) was, she suspected Jones is alive. She was obviously right!

While she orchestrated a crime vile enough to put Betty in jail, this episode titled 'Chapter Seventy-Three: The Locked Room' tries to blow the case wide open. In the middle of finding out how much of a hand the Stonies and Francis J Dupont (Malcolm Stewart) had in this elaborate scheme, we are stuck with a tad bit of a new mystery. Who is head Stonie Donna Sweett?

Hermosa Lodge (Mishel Prada) obliged by her newfound half-sister love and entertains Veronica Lodge's (Camila Mendes) idea of finding out all she can about Donna. It was then discovered that the bright-eyed beauty who's obsessed with novel contracts and the execution of "perfect murders" may be hiding her true parentage. In this episode, we saw Betty suggest that Donna walk away from the 'Tracy True' contest or her identity will become public, the audience, on the other hand, we have to wait to find out who this "psycho b****" is?  But we're fans and we have some speculations.

What we know so far is that Donna was the mastermind behind the murder attempt on Jughead and she wanted to frame Betty for the crime - rather "Dark Betty." Bret was just a mere distraction who Betty found could easily be convinced to reveal anything using some brass knuckles courtesy of Jughead and FP Jones (Skeet Ulrich).

Could Donna be related to Dupont, the English teacher and former ghost-writer of the Baxter Brothers books, or is she related to the late Edgar Evernever (Chad Michael Murray), from the whole farmie cult situation in the last season? She's been working very closely with Dupont to end Jughead's life but she also told Betty that she had visited Evelyn Evernever (Zoé De Grand Maison), the woman pretending to be Edgar's daughter but was actually his wife - you know, for cult recruiting and organ stealing purposes. It turned out that there was no trigger word that got Betty to kill Jughead, so why did Evelyn help Donna keep Betty guessing her fate? If she were related to Dupont, that would be a great legacy for Stonewall Prep, so why hide it?

Furthermore, does anyone remember that Jughead was introduced to Stonewall Prep through Mr Honey and the recruiting of Mr Chipping, so could Donna be related to Mr Honey, Riverdale High's new principal? Not to mention, there is an episode coming up titled, 'Chapter Seventy-Six: Killing Mr. Honey' and because none of that plotline has been touched and we're only three episodes away, could that storyline tie into Donna's evil antics?

We have no idea, though, 'Riverdale' has switched its mystery scheme from the dead body of Jughead to the identity of Donna Sweett. We're expecting these next few episodes to be the core four Betty, Jughead, Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) and Veronica dealing with post-haplotypic Donna. Who said they we're going to have a chill senior year, it's Riverdale for God's sake.

'Riverdale' airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm EST on The CW.
