'Riverdale' Season 4 Episode 11 Preview: Betty's on a mission to take down Bret in a game of intellectual mastery

It does not seem as though we are about to find out details about Jughead's death but there's nothing like seeing Betty take down her enemies

With the midseason premiere on January 22, The CW had already released photos for Season 4 Episode 10 'Varsity Blues'. While we are going to see the Bulldogs and Stonewall Prep going head-to-head in a championship football game in Episode 10, we see the two schools battle it out intellectually in Episode 11 'Quiz Show.'

The CW has released photos for Episode 11 which is set to air on January 30 and will bring another showdown with Betty Cooper hell-bent on taking down Bret Wallis from Stonewall Prep.

It looks like we're about to see the two rival schools battle it out in two episodes straight, although we're cheering for the Riverdale Bulldogs. What we're more interested in is, if we are ever going to find out if Dark Betty killed Jughead?

There has been a lot of speculation about the death of Riverdale's finest writer, and we were left with an awful cliffhanger in Episode 9 'Tangerine'. A flash-forward scene had teased his death after we saw Betty holding bloodied stones near Jughead's body and Betty, Archie Andrews and Veronica Lodge standing in a lineup. We also hear Donna say she had seen them kill Jughead. Although we speculated that Dark Betty may have killed her lover while in a trance, we have no confirmation.

From the released photos and synopsis, it does not seem as though we are about to get answers on this in at least Episode 10 and 11, but we can hope for more good old flashforwards. Although, we are quite excited to see what the Archie gang has in store for them in their senior year because we all know there's going to be more bloodshed.

The official synopsis of the episode states: "RIVERDALE HIGH VS STONEWALL PREP — Determined to give Frank (guest star Ryan Robbins) a second chance, Archie (KJ Apa) gives him a job at Andrew's Construction. Betty (Lili Reinhart) channels her energy into taking Bret (guest star Sean Depner) down and defeating Stonewall Prep at the Quiz Show Championship, while Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) team up for an unlikely business venture. Finally, Kevin's (Casey Cott) date with a new suitor takes a strange and unexpected turn."

Riverdale airs on Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
