'Riverdale' season 3 new poster puts the ensemble of parents in the spotlight!

A brand new poster for season three of 'Riverdale' is out now and let's just say - the mommies and daddies are killing it! CW just released the new poster, which much along the lines of the previous season 3 poster, shows the older generation of cast members in all their glory. That's right - this new poster is all about putting the series' ensemble of parents in the spotlight, and it doesn't get any more badass than he looks each one of them is serving individually.

The poster features Alice Cooper (Madchen Amick), Fred Andrews (Luke Perry), F.P. Jones (Skeet Ulrich), Hermione Lodge (Marisol Nichols), and Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) in every bit the gothic style as the first poster of the main cast of Riverdale High was showcased. But at the same time, the parents getting their own separate poster doesn't really come off as surprising, considering how their individual sub-plots have grown and expanded vastly over the span of the last two seasons.

The upcoming third season will pick up at a point where both Hiram and Hermione Lodge will exercise a larger and more firm hold on the town itself; now that Hermione has managed to win the seat of the mayor. Fred, on the other hand, will be dealing with the show's prime protagonist  Archie (KJ Apa) being framed for murder by Hiram himself. There's also another piece of spicy romance brewing on the cards, as the trailer for the new season has already shown that Alice and FP are most likely to rekindle their romance. Under what circumstances - your guess is as good as mine.

"I think it’s a really cool relationship." Ulrich had shared in an interview earlier in the summer, as reported by ComicBook.com. "It’s very fun. It’s dynamic. It’s intense. There’s chemistry there that’s unique. It’s not just a kid’s show or a teen show. I guess to some extent, I’m not surprised, but to the veracity and volume of it, I’m quite surprised."

Amick also shared with the outlet how this could potentially take off, saying: "He's just a lovely, distinguished, wonderful actor, who seems to be getting better looking with age. He's very handsome, and I just love having scenes with really talented actors. We also haven't seen too much of Alice and F.P.'s characters together, and I just love getting in and getting to play with other great actors, so I'm really looking forward to a lot of really good stuff between us in the future."

But that's not all that they have in store or the fans as the coming season's fourth episode is going to offer a major throwback to the times when this very ensemble of parents was in their high school years. The flashback episode will portray the younger versions of the parents played by their on-screen children. As for the plot of the episode - titled, The Midnight Club - it will shed light on an event in the past that is connected to the current murder spree that has afflicted Riverdale.
