'RHOSLC' Season 2 Fan Review: Drama on premiere episode deemed Emmy worthy
From Jen Shah's poorly-timed joke about not yet going to jail to best friends Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks getting into an explosive fight, the hour and a half long premiere episode of 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' Season 2 was jam-packed with drama. Fans clearly couldn't get enough of the Salt Lake City ladies as they kept everybody engaged with all the juicy drama in their lives.
Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Jen, Lisa and Meredith returned for season 2 of 'RHOSLC' alongside new housewife Jennie Nguyen. Although Jennie's segment was pretty brief, fans still got to learn quite a bit about the new housewife on the block after she shared her painful immigration story from Vietnam to America. Mary and her ditzy nature continued to intrigue fans. The fashion-obsessed housewife picked up a new hobby during the pandemic- podcasting. Fans got a sample of Mary's podcast too. Jen and Meredith moved into new homes, while Whitney has big plans for her business. The ladies picked off from right where they left things off during the reunion. Heather left everybody surprised when she revealed that she hadn't spoken to her former best friend Jen since the reunion. Although we didn't get to see much drama on that front as they didn't meet up yet, fans however got the front-row seat to Lisa and Meredith's intense fight.

After losing her father, Meredith wanted her friends by her side. So she invited her best friend Lisa and her family over to her house for dinner. Although the dinner initially started off well, things quickly went south when the topic of Jen came up. Lisa's continued defense of Jen left Meredith puzzled. Lisa on the other hand felt that it was hypocritical of Meredith to question her friendship with Jen when she is friends with Heather and Whitney. After lots of shouting and screaming, the two ladies decided to briefly put their differences aside to enjoy the dinner party.
After watching the episode, fans couldn't stop showering praises upon the ladies and the showrunners for giving such a fantastic episode. A fan tweeted, "That #RHOSLC premiere was FIRE! I’m so excited for the season, and even more excited to hear @BenMandelker and @RonnieKaram @WhatCrappens recap this episode and all the episodes! #ilovethat." "SUCH an impressive season premiere episode... #RHOSLC Can you think of another more compelling premiere for any season of a HW franchise? There may have been one, I just can’t think of one off the top of my head... Also, having just seen that, think about how bad #RHONY is...," wrote a fan. Another fan added, "Meredith and Lisa giving us drama on the first episode… they truly understand the assignment now #RHOSLC."
