Why did Monica Garcia leave ‘RHOSLC’?
Monica Garcia's absence from the forthcoming season of 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' has been confirmed, as executive producer Andy Cohen sheds light on the decision made by the show's producers to temporarily remove her from the cast.
“The news is out that we are going to have a cooling-off period,” Cohen said during an episode of his SiriusXM show 'Andy Cohen Live.'
He further added, “I think the reunion is the chance to come out [and] say why you did what you did on the season. It’s the Supreme Court of public opinion. And so Monica had the opportunity, not only to explain herself to the audience but way more importantly, in this case, to the other women. And I don’t think she successfully swayed any of them to her side.”
During the third part of the reunion, host Andy Cohen turned the attention towards the housewives and their complicated relationship with Garcia. Eager to delve into the drama, Cohen posed the question of where each housewife stood in terms of trust when it came to Garcia. To no surprise, the resounding response from all the ladies was a unanimous declaration of their lack of trust in her.
“So, I think that it’s best- you know, we all discussed it ad nauseam- to kind of let this one breathe for a while. She’s obviously really compelling television. Maybe she’ll be able to build some inroads with some of the women on her own, off camera,” Cohen continued.
