The OG fan-favorite housewife Bethenny Frankel’s exit from ‘Real Housewives of New York’ has left a void that can not be filled by any of the housewives. But like the saying goes, whenever one door closes another opens and Bethenny’s exit paved the way to the arrival of new housewife Leah McSweeney. The native New Yorker housewife has managed to sweep the fans off their feet with her debut episode itself.

Fans had a tough time imagining ‘RHONY’ without Bethenny and her hilarious commentary and dark humor, but it looks like the producers have found a solution. New housewife Leah’s confessionals were hilarious. She had our hearts the minute she Googled what Jovani was in one of her confessionals. Just like Bethenny, even Leah is a smart and savvy businesswoman, with an amazing “I don’t care” New Yorker attitude, and the icing on the cake is how real and raw she seems even when cameras are around.

After watching the pilot, fans couldn’t help but wonder if the ‘Married to the Mob’ label founder was supposed to be the new Bethenny. The two ladies seem to have a lot in common and Leah did an amazing job of keeping us entertained and laughing despite Bethenny’s absence.

A fan tweeted, “So is Leah supposed to be the tough, aggressive replacement for Bethenny? #RHONY.” Another fan wrote, “Very initial gut reaction on Leah: no bullsh*t, shoot from the hip, no filter, just like Bethenny, but much sweeter voice. #RHONY.”

Several fans felt that they were robbed of seeing the two hilarious housewives together onscreen. A fan expressed, “I do think this season of #RHONY will be good with Leah but I can’t help but think how the season would be even better if Leah and Bethany were on there together.”

“Let’s face it, Leah had HUGE shoes to fill with Bethenny’s commentary gone. But she is doing amazing so far, sweetie. #RHONY,” commented another fan. “#RHONY 1st episode and Leah is totally filling that comic relief void that Bethenny has left. Bravo to Bravo! She’s my new fav,” declared an impressed fan.

‘Real Housewives of New York’ Season 12 airs every Thursday at 9/8c only on Bravo.
