LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After a successful franchise, 'Grey's Anatomy' on ABC, Shonda Rhimes has now set her eyes on Netflix. Shondaland is a television production company founded by television writer and producer Shonda Rhimes. She founded it to be one of the production companies of her first series, the medical drama 'Grey's Anatomy' in 2005. It has since gone on to produce Rhimes's other creations, 'Grey's spinoff 'Private Practice' and the political drama 'Scandal'. Nevertheless, the historical periodical drama, 'Bridgerton' is Shondaland's first scripted show for Netflix. It revolves around the eponymous 'Bridgerton' family and is set in the competitive world of Regency-era London's ton during the social season when marriageable youth of nobility and gentry are launched into society. Regardless, a new spin-off series is making its way to Netflix now which is one of the highly anticipated series of Netflix

Why was 'Queen Charlotte' trying to escape from the King?

In the trailer, we saw how Shonda Rhimes tried to establish the Queen of England, aka Queen Charlotte was being set up with the King for marriage. However, the young to-be Queen was very new to the customs of the royal family and she was keen on knowing the King but the King was missing in action. In the trailer we see the Queen played by India Amarteifio was incredibly perplexed with her current situation which is why she was trying to escape from the castle when she hit a dead end of the maze. It is also the first time that the young-to-be Queen met the handsome King played by Corey Mylchreest.

Over the past two seasons, viewers have witnessed Charlotte's rule command respect and order in the ton courtesy of her influential reign and intimidating presence. Although Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is expected to explore a different side to the royal through young Charlotte (India Amarteifio), it will also feature flashforwards to adult Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) in a bid to tie the prequel series and main series together. In a brand new clip for the show, adult Charlotte is seen showing up in full force both as a Queen and even more prominently – as a mother. The series is a prequel spin-off of the Netflix series 'Bridgerton' and will focus on young 'Queen Charlotte's rise to prominence and power. The series will premiere on May 4, 2023, and consist of six episodes. The first episode is named 'Queen To Be' which is going to set the arc The series will focus on young 'Queen Charlotte's rise to prominence and power.
