Private investigator who searched for Rudy Farias claims a lot of aspects in the case 'didn't add up': 'There's something dark'
HOUSTON, TEXAS: Four shamuses who made several attempts to find Rudy Farias ever since his mother Janie Santana filed a missing person's report in 2015 said that they are unvexed to see the now 25-year-old's 'miracle' reappearance. According to a report by the Insider, Brenda Paradise told the outlet that a lot of facets in the case "didn't add up" and said they are unsurprised that it is shaping up to be a nightmare. "There's something dark and dirty here", she said.
Rudy was only 17 years old when he was reported missing by Janie. Now, after almost close to a decade, the Texas man was found on June 29 this year at a church 11 miles away from their Houston home and his mother claims that it is a miracle. Things are however taking a drastic turn in the following days as several serious allegations are coming to light regarding Rudys' mother, including Farias being held by her as a sex slave and close ones claiming that he was never missing.

After meeting the victim and investigators, Quanell X, a local activist, spoke to the media where he came up with some startling allegations. He said that Farias was never missing and was instead abused by his own mother for years. Houston authorities are yet to make any official statement on these shocking remarks and the matter is still under investigation. It is not clear as of now if Farias was held captive by Janie.
HPD confirms Rudy Farias was never missing. Police says he and his mom lied for 8 years and made up fake names during police interactions. Police also say there were no sexual abuse allegations made during the interview- much different than what we were told by activist Quanell X pic.twitter.com/SfPtCAeX4x

Janie allegedly provided wrong birthday for Rudy's missing flyers
Paradise has worked on the incident since 2015. She said that there had been many unconfirmed scuttlebutts of Farias being seen in the neighborhood and in the homes of family members. "There were freakin' billboards in Houston announcing he was missing", she told the outlet. Paradise claims Santana raised reg flags after she'd provided the wrong birthday for the missing flyers where she listed Rudy as 17 instead of 18.
"He was 18 when he went missing," Paradise said. "I found the original intake form, It shows that mom wrote the wrong date. She said he was 17." Paradise alleged that the mother never provided any recent picture of her son and only gave one of him as a 14-year-old. "She told me that she thought if he looked younger, there would be more empathy", the investigator said.
Family members of Rudy Farias continue to arrive in Humble… this after Quanell X said he met with Rudy & @houstonpolice investigators here. When searchers discovered an asthma inhaler and backpack at the scene of the disappearance, Rudy's family members were quick to conclude that they were the missing teen's at the time. "Rudy never even had asthma. The backpack had some elementary-school kid's homework inside it, and that wasn't Rudy's either", Paradise continued. "But the mom had swore up and down that it was his. I would love to hear that he's truly been missing all these years, and has finally been found."
She added, "I mean, God, I'd love to hear that he was found and is getting help. But I just don't trust anything that comes from that family."
Here is an update that just came out about the Texas case of the supposedly missing teen that showed up 8 years later. Rudy Farias was never missing but it's still a crazy story. pic.twitter.com/MZnsMlGTfg

Janie claimed that Rudy was held captive in Mexico
Ryan Grayson, another private investigator and defense investigator said that he along with Paradise and Barbara and Martin Renteria were the main private investigators who worked on the case since 2015. "She claimed that there was a woman that was holding him in Mexico", Ryan told the outlet about Janie, a lead he claims she fundraised for. "She showed up late for the fundraiser and she didn't go around and say hello to any of the people who were donating money or at the fundraiser", he continued.
Ryan claimed that he narrowed down the trafficker who the missing teen's mother alleged had held Farias in Mexico. "She said that Rudy's mom had talked to her. I told Janie I didn't want to be involved in her scam", he said. Janie allegedly shared communications from her son's supposed traffickers in Tijuana, Mexico on another occasion which were in a dialect foreign to that region. "It was like Chicano, Tex-Mex Spanish, like what Janie was speaking.[I] washed my hands of the case [after that]", Ryan added. "I've got a strong feeling he was a victim,' Grayson added. 'I know he was special needs. It's a pretty sad situation."
"There is much, much more to this case and the Houston PD, when we worked it, was just not very interested. It's true", Barbara Renteria said. "She had us searching from Mexico to Louisiana. All of it was a lie."
