A source with knowledge of the suspect's status at the facility was quoted by CNN as saying that he had caused no problems during his detention thus far. This comes after a report that claimed that the alleged killer had tried to expose himself, sang violent rap songs, and threatened guards from his jail cell. Speaking to the Daily Mail, a fellow inmate said that Kohberger displayed bizarre and disturbing behavior at the Monroe County Jail. The 50-year-old Valerie Cipollina told the outlet that she witnessed the suspect during her six-hour stay at the jail after she was taken into custody for domestic violence on New Year's Day. “You come in here and I’ll cut you. I’m going to pee on your face. Do what you want with me, I don’t give a s–t,” Cipollina quoted Kohberger as yelling at one guard.

According to Cipollina, she was held in a cell across from the accused killer and was able to see his upper body through the glass. While she didn't recognize him, she said another inmate told her “that’s the guy who killed those college students.” She recalled, “I could see him through the polycarbonate glass window of his jail cell. He was standing up, right against it, yelling out violent rap lyrics.” The female inmate further claimed that Kohberger also tried to expose himself to her several times during her six-hour detention at the Monroe County Jail over the weekend.

“I couldn't see his genitals because the glass wall only went down so far,” she told the Daily Mail, adding that the 28-year-old suspect taunted the guards when they ordered him to put his pants back on. “Come on in motherf---er. You come in here – let's talk,” he allegedly screamed. “Come in all of you. You scared of me? You should be scared of me. You're going to do nothing to me because I'm going to cut all of you up,” Cipollina quoted him as saying. “Come into this cell and I'll show you I'm a creeper. Come in this cell and I'll cut you up too!”
