'Bel-Air' Ending Explained: What happened to Will and his family? Does he end up with Lisa?
'Bel-Air' was announced with quite the fanfare. With Will Smith backing the project and NBCUniversal's Peacock streaming it, the series was developed by Morgan Cooper, Malcolm Spellman, TJ Brady, and Rasheed Newson and is based on a fan trailer made by Cooper.
'Bel-Air' premiered on February 13, opening to mixed reviews. While many found it to be engaging and of relevance, some weren't happy with the dour tone and lack of humor. Beginning with Will being sent to live with his relatives in Bel-Air after getting arrested for pulling a gun during a fight in West Philadelphia, the series initially followed his attempts to settle down in LA while still staying true to his West Philly roots. The focus eventually switches to other issues plaguing the Banks' household such as Carlton's anxiety-related problems, Phillip's challenges as he runs for DA, Hilary's ambitions to break away from the shadow of her parents, and Vivian's dreams of restarting her career.

'Bel-Air' Season Finale: Who is Will's father and why wasn't he a part of his life?
The series came to an end on March 31 and we're sure it left you with some questions so read on to know more about how 'Bel-Air' ended!
What happened to Will?
Will was of the idea that his father had abandoned him and his mother. However, over time he finds out that his father was in prison and that was the reason for his absence. He meets him in the finale but things don't go well. On the contrary, they go horribly wrong as Will and Lou almost end up getting into an altercation. Will also finds out that Vivian and Phillip chose to stay away from his mother during the time that Lou was away, and he develops a feeling of abandonment towards them as well. Will leaves the mansion after letting them know how he felt and is found at the viewpoint with Jazz right where the series began. Not much is revealed about his plans so we're going to have to wait for Season 2 to find out.
Did Will make things right with Lisa?
'Bel-Air' began with Will meeting Lisa at the party in the Banks' mansion. They connect regularly after that but keep facing issues or obstacles due to Carlton. He seems to approve of their relationship at a certain point but Lisa finds out about Will's troubles in West Philly by then. She feels lied to and ends the relationship. The finale saw Will try and make amends by expressing his feelings and Lisa tells him to meet her the next day. Sadly, they don't get to meet as Lou resurfaces in Will's life, keeping him away from her.
What happened to Phillip's campaign?
Phillip Banks is shown to be running for DA for most parts of 'Bel-Air'. He lands in trouble after going against the establishment due to his thoughts on police reform, including budget cuts. This makes some of his key sponsors back out and they also find out about Phillip pulling strings to get Will out of trouble. Phillip chooses to back out from the race to avoid further controversies but that doesn't mean that he has put his political aspirations aside. He could overthrow Judge Robertson in the upcoming season as Phillip is still backed by his fraternity.
What about the rest of the Banks family?
By the end of Season 1 of 'Bel-Air', Carlton seems to have given up on drugs, while Hilary is shown making some moves that could see her cut ties with Kylo while still being a part of the influencer house. Vivian receives the art fellowship and Ashley is more confident in her skin as her family will support her irrespective of her orientation.
'Bel-Air' is available for streaming on Peacock.
