NYC shootings: Cops look for suspects as 2 dead and 4 injured in separate shootouts

Another shooting incident left three people wounded and two of them are in critical condition

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Police said that a man was killed in a shooting overnight in Brooklyn. According to the police, the unidentified man was shot multiple times at roughly 5:40 am on Saturday, March 11.

The shocking incident happened inside the Louis Armstrong Homes on the 300 block of Lexington Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. the 46-year-old man was declared dead at Woodhull Hospital. "No one has been arrested, and the inquiry is still ongoing", said police.

Trevor Roberts was shot in the chest 

Meanwhile, the police are also searching for the suspect who gunned down a 33-year-old man in the Bronx Friday, March 10 afternoon, the NY Post reported. The victim identified as Trevor Roberts, of Brooklyn, was shot in the chest at around 3 pm on East 174th Street, near Rosedale Avenue, as per the authorities. EMS took Roberts to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests in this case as well.

'Nyc is not a safe city;

In Brooklyn, another incident occurred that left three people wounded, among which two of them are in critical condition. All three people were shot at around 1:45 pm at 491 East 45th St, near Snyder Avenue in the East Flatbush section, police said as per a report. An unidentified woman and a man were fighting for their lives after being critically wounded, police and sources told the media outlet.

The second man who was also shot is expected to survive. Police are investigating the case and no arrests have been made yet. "We are confused, aren't guns illegal in New York City?," a frustrated user wrote on Twitter reacting to the news. Another user wrote, "Nyc is not a safe city, worse than Philly." One more wrote, "Replace the dead-end sign with a no gun sign."



 



 



 

"Weapons are illegal there though. Plus, assault is illegal. Check and mate criminals," one user said. While another remarked, "Luckily the NYPD took that nerf gun off the street a few days ago or it could’ve been worse." Another quipped, '“shooting”- great American tradition"
