'New Amsterdam' Season 2 Episode 6: Can Kapoor and Sharpe handle feuding sisters' family drama with everything going on with them?
'New Amsterdam' is the story of a family — a family of doctors, and now taking it a step further are Dr. Kapoor (Anupam Kher) and Dr. Sharpe (Freema Agyeman) who find themselves embroiled in a family drama. According to the official synopsis for the upcoming Season 2 Episode 6 of the NBC show, "Sharpe and Kapoor work together to mend fences between two feuding sisters."
We know that Kapoor and Sharpe have their own bundle of problems that they have been dealing with privately. Kapoor's son got one of his friends at the hospital pregnant, and just when he thought he might get a grandchild out of this, he learns that Ella (Dierdre Friel ) may not be keeping the baby. Paying heed to his friend Iggy's (Tyler Labine) suggestion to maintain a distance and not interfere in Ella's very personal decision, Kapoor fought his instincts to the best of his abilities.
However, towards the end of the previously aired Season 2 Episode 5, Ella reached out to him and said that if she were to talk to someone about what is going on, it would be him. Kapoor also told her that no matter what she decides they would always be family.
Sharpe, on the other hand, is doing a lot of soul-searching. While a lot of her storyline in Season 1 was about her pursuits of becoming a mother, she confessed to Max (Ryan Eggold) in the previous episode that she realized that she doesn't want to raise a child by herself. This seems to be a premonition about Max and Helen's future together, especially since Max inadvertently also revealed that he still sees his late wife Georgia (Lisa O'Hare) around the house.
These two are clearly endgame, but we know that they have a long way to go before becoming a family, fulfilling Helen's dream of raising a child aka Luna with someone she loves aka Max.
We are excited to see how Helen and Kapoor are going to handle a couple of feuding sisters in the midst of all that is going on with them, come October 29, Tuesday. Season 2 Episode 6 of 'New Amsterdam', titled 'Righteous Right Hand', will be aired on NBC.
