LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix has granted the wishes of eager fans by releasing the trailer for 'Thelma the Unicorn' on April 15, on their official YouTube channel.

Directed by the dynamic duo Jared Hess and Lynn Wang, the film boast an impressive voice cast featuring Will Forte, Jon Heder, Zach Galifianakis, David Michie, and Betsy Sodaro. The title character is voiced by Brittany Howard, lead singer of Alabama Shakes, making her acting debut.

In this whimsical adaptation of Aaron Blabey's cherished children's book, Hess teamed up with his wife Jerusha Hess to craft the screenplay. The duo expressed their excitement, calling the project "a dream come true" and feeling a strong connection to Blabey's quirky characters.

Director Jared Hess aims to strike the right balance between the flashy world of unicorns and the movie's underlying themes of identity and self-worth.

The official synopsis reads, "When a rare pink and glitter-filled moment of fate makes Thelma the Pony's wish of being a unicorn come true, she rises to instant international pop-superstar stardom, but at an unexpected cost."
