Making a biopic is never easy. The makers and everyone involved with the project have to take care of all the minor details about someone who has impacted or influenced the world in an impeccable manner. One such personality was Marilyn Monroe and we all know how she took the world by storm with her looks and bold lifestyle. Netflix just released the first teaser trailer for its Marilyn Monroe biopic, entitled 'Blonde’, which sees Ana De Armas recreating some of the most iconic moments given to us by the blonde bombshell.

Based on the bestselling novel by Joyce Carol Oates, ‘Blonde’ will take place during Monroe’s golden decades of the 50s and 60s. It is a fictionalized take on the celebrity’s life and will give viewers a glimpse of her inner life and perspective on the world. The black and white trailer starts with Marilyn Monroe (Ana De Armas) crying in front of a mirror and also shows a snippet of the iconic white dress moment. The teaser, which is just over 1 minute, shows how Monroe lived her life and how much she suffered behind closed doors. Even when she was smiling for the cameras, there was something inside her that was bothering her.

Armas embodies Monroe with precision and fans were left stunned when they saw her imitating the immortal star's radiant smile. While talking about her preparations, Armas told Netflix Queue that she studied everything she could find about Marilyn and read Joyce’s novel to know almost everything about her. She said, “We worked on this film for hours, every single day for almost a year. I read Joyce's novel, studied hundreds of photographs, videos, audio recordings, films — anything I could get my hands on.”

Another fan tweeted, “Ana de Armas, a beauty since I saw her for the first time in the Internship series. A great actress and like good wines, each year is better than the previous one. Ideal actress to play Marilyn.”

On the other hand, there were many who believed that the upcoming biopic will finally be a fitting tribute to the Hollywood icon. One fan tweeted, “NC-17. Ok, that's promising. The casting is A+. I know Marilyn Monroe has a very tortured story so I hope they do it justice. Rating and casting are on point so far.”

Meanwhile, a social media user said, “This film!!!! I’m beyond excited for it.” Another fan wrote, “Omg, this looks incredible and I'm really looking forward to seeing it."

The movie has been given an NC-17 rating, which is the highest rating in the Motion Picture Association film rating system. So, it seems things are going to get pretty wild in ‘Blonde’.

Directed and written by Andrew Dominik, the movie also stars Adrian Brody, Bobby Cannavale, and Caspar Phillipson in pivotal roles.
