What did Tennessee Senator Heidi Campbell explain?

Campbell explained, “These parents were very concerned that it could have been their kid. One of the people in the congregation — we were sort of in a in a church that opened their doors to the parents — one of the people found out while we were in there that their child had been killed, and the primal scream that came from this person was something that I will never forget. What an absolute horror to find that out," as per News Nation. She further added, “I was very moved by how supportive all of the families were of one another and how patient they were in what I thought was one of the most terrific days that they could have experienced. So it was a tough day for them." Later, Campbell claimed, “It doesn’t really matter what’s in your heart or your head, what matters is what’s in your hands. You know, people have all kinds of issues in other countries and we don’t see these kinds of shootings." Campbell also tweeted, I wouldn’t wish this living hell on any parent. It rips your heart out to see these families wondering if their kids and loved ones are coming home. I am grateful for the first responders and the community’s support for these families."

How did the cops rescue other students?

The students of the school were escorted out of the school after the incident. “I was literally moved to tears to see this and the kids as they were being ushered out of the building,” Metropolitan Nashville Police Chief John Drake said during a press conference. He continued, “We have a manifesto, we have some writings that we’re going over that pertain to this date, the actual incident,” he said. “We have a map drawn out of how this was all going to take place.” “Our community is heartbroken. We are grieving tremendous loss and are in shock coming out of the terror that shattered our school and church. We are focused on loving our students, our families, our faculty and staff and beginning the process of healing," read the official statement from The Covenant School, as per Associated Press.

The Internet also had interesting reactions to the Senator's response. A user said, " What happened in Nashville is terrible. The GOP needs to restrict guns now. It's not trans people's fault that kids are murdered, this has happened for years. It is the GOPs fault for letting it happen." "She answered your vapid question the first time. It doesn't fu**ing matter why," added another. "This whole story is incredibly sad. This just brings tears and extremely heartbreaking My heart goes out to these innocent souls," read tweet. Another stated, "Gun Violence isn't complicated! It's people who shouldn't have guns, in situations where they shouldn't be using guns, killing people who shouldn't be killed. Stop your thoughts and prayers and do something! Tennessee State Senator Heidi Campbell."
