Is Luis Ortiz okay? 'Million Dollar Listing' star's absence, troubled personal life leaves fans puzzled
Luis Ortiz's connection to 'Million Dollar Listing' may have been erratic but his absence stings quite a bit. Not only is he gone from the show and most likely not returning, but the realtor has kept his social media activities to a bare minimum as well.
No one has heard from Luis since he "left his family for 5 months to film a new project" in July 2020. He scrubbed his Instagram clean and as we write this, he has no photos up on the feed.
Where is Luis Ortiz and is he okay?
Two questions that no one has answers to, at least not concrete ones. When Ryan Serhant dropped the cast photo on Instagram, Fredrik Eklund was quick to comment: "I miss Luis," which triggered a string of replies. A majority of users were focused on figuring out what caused him to leave the show.
A handful of fans pointed out that he left his family. “I did too until we learned that he’s a deadbeat dad who hasn’t seen his daughter in months and doesn’t even support her financially,” one person wrote on the thread.
"I'm shocked about it. If his ex is being truthful in saying his daughter hasn't seen or heard from him in months. Also, he doesn't finically support her. Not the guy I thought," another commented.
Ronita Kalra, who used to be Luis' right-hand on 'MDLNY', is equally stunned by Luis' disappearance. "I think at the moment he is according to Instagram, he’s [in New York] with his baby and baby mama,” she said on Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef and added that: “and I tried to convince him to stay."
Last year, Luis posted on Instagram that he would be leaving Nikita Singh and daughter Leela. "I cried like a little bitch on my way out. I knew that the next time I hug Leela she will no longer be as small as she is today. People tell me that five months will fly but that’s not how I see it," he had posted.
