His longtime friend Judd Apatow, the director who gave him his first big on-screen break, was the one who recommended him for the gig. Hart also came close to hosting the Oscars in 2019, but he stepped down from the gig when a series of his old homophobic tweets resurfaced. He has hosted three episodes of 'Saturday Night Live'. In 2015, Hart hosted the 'Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber' which was a massive hit, which took netizens by quite a roll. In 2016, Hart co-hosted the  'MTV Movie Awards' with Dwayne Johnson.
