When Season 2 of 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' was announced everybody believed that Jen Shah's arrest and the legal drama would be the central plotline of the season. But we should have known better considering Mary Cosby was on the cast. The eccentric and ditzy housewife garnered a lot of attention right from the beginning not just due to her marriage to her step-grandfather Robert Cosby Sr., but also her quirky behavior.

After Jen's arrest, the ladies began discussing Mary. Rumors of her running a cult began doing rounds in the group, which were further strengthened when Lisa Barlow's friend Cameron Williams revealed that he sold his house and gave $300,000 to Mary. Mary's exorbitant lifestyle and wealth became the new topic of discussion, fans began wondering if like Cameron other members of her Church too were being pressured into parting with their wealth to fund the housewife's lavish lifestyle. But before the cult rumors died down, Mary once again found herself in a sticky situation thanks to her ignorant and racist comments against her co-stars

Why did Mary Cosby skip 'RHOSLC' Season 2 reunion?

From comparing Jen Shah to a Mexican thug to complimenting Jennie Nguyen's "slanted eyes" the housewife drew flak from everybody for her ignorant statements. While she apologized for her Mexican thug comment, the housewife, however, refused to apologize to Jennie as she felt that "slanted eyes" was a compliment. Jennie made it very clear that Mary would have to take accountability for her actions and seemed pretty set on confronting her co-sat during the reunion. Sadly for Jennie that might not happen as Mary decided to skip attending the reunion.

The reunion's host and the executive producer of the show Andy Cohen confirmed that Mary didn't attend the reunion. Ever since the news broke out fans began speculating as to why the housewife decided to sit out of it. A source close to the production reportedly told Page Six that Mary was "terrified of getting grilled" by her co-stars during the reunion. The outlet reported, "Mary did not attend the reunion." A second insider added that Mary did not attend the reunion because she “did not want to confront the controversy surrounding her this season.” The source elaborated, “She was terrified of getting grilled about her ‘racist’ comments made toward Jennie [Nguyen] and Jen [Shah]. She also did not want to discuss the accusations that she runs a cult.”

Mary's decision to not attend the reunion rubbed off the fans the wrong way who took to Twitter to call her out. A fan tweeted, "Mary’s a coward for not showing up to the reunion! It’s the least she could do! #marycosby @Mary_M_Cosby #rhoslc #housewives #realhousewives #bravo #bravotv @BravoTV." Another fan wrote, "Mary Cosby really didn't go to the reunion, she's wack. I really wanted her to be confronted about the stuff she said where she couldn't walk away. Even if you're scared, just go in there knowing you're going to be a hot topic... smh #rhoslc." "Doesn’t it just show by not turning up to the reunion that @Mary_M_Cosby is ashamed of her actions/comments made throughout the season and doesn’t want to be called out on them and face the music?! Zero respect for her… #RHOSLC," declared a fan. "Mary didn’t show up to the reunion lmaoooooooo #rhoslc Ditching accountability," observed a fan.

Did Mary Cosby quit 'RHOSLC'?

Even though neither Mary nor Bravo has released any statement announcing the housewife's exit from the show, rumor mills are abuzz that she may have quit the show. The source close to the production explained how Mary's decision to skip the reunion might cost her dearly. The insider explained, "Skipping out on the reunion is a big no-no for ‘Housewives. This was the kiss of death for Mary. She hardly has any alliances left in the cast, who hoped she would have shown up to the reunion to take accountability for her behavior and the allegations about her church.”

Fans too seem in favor of having Mary fired from the show. A fan shared, "If a housewife skips the reunion, it should be automatic fire. Sorry I don’t make the rules, love. Looking at YOU Sister Mary @Mary_M_Cosby we gonna have to send Jesus after you girl …" "If you don’t attend the reunion, you deserve to be fired! Mary sure has a lot to say on Twitter, but couldn’t show up to answer questions about this season & her awful behavior! #RHOSLC," seconded a fan. "Mary better be fired. Missing the reunion is breaking contract. #ByeMary #RHOSLC #rhoslcreunion @Andy @BravoTV," added a fan.
