Release date

'Marriage or Mortgage' will air on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. The perfect way to end hump day blues.

Plot

Marriage or Mortgage, that's what the show literally is about. Each episode will follow one couple presumedly engaged, having enough money to realize their dream of owning a house or having a fancy wedding. When they can't make up their mind, they approach wedding planner Sarah Miller and real estate agent Nichole Holmes to help them decide what to choose. Both of them compete to get the couples to avail their services and the couples choose one between the two.

The average salary of a full-time worker in the US in 2019 was estimated to be around $40,000 and weddings that year cost an average of $33,900 including all expenses from the engagement ring to the reception. We will not get into the price of real estate for the past couple of years for our own sanity. Considering all this, the plot of the show that sees couples choose either one of the options is starting to make sense now.

Hosts

Sarah Miller

Born and raised in Cumbria,  Sarah Miller's love for planning weddings stemmed from her love for the emotions it evoked in people. She believes that weddings are about personalization and should represent a couple and not two individuals. Making guests go "oh wow" and "I didn't expect that" is something that Miller strives towards.

Nichole Holmes

Move over Christine Quinn and Chrishell Stause of 'Selling Sunset' and meet Nichole Holmes who will be helping couples find their dream home. "Owning a house is an all-American dream. I am a real estate agent, I can make that dream come true," she says in the trailer.
