Marelle Sturrock: Pregnant primary school teacher found dead at home by police on welfare check
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND: The body of a heavily pregnant primary school teacher, who also was a budding actress and singer, has been found dead at her home in Glasgow. Marelle Sturrock, 35, was discovered at the property in the Craigton area of the city at around 8.40 am on Tuesday, April 25, after police received a "concern for person" call.
An investigation has been launched by the Scotland Police confirming that the death is being treated as unexplained. The incident is linked to an ongoing search for a missing person at Mugdock Country Park.

Large-scale operation underway
A large-scale operation near Milngavie in East Dunbartonshire has seen officers, dog units and a helicopter dispatched to the area on April 25 at around 11 am and a section close to an entrance to the park was taped off.
What did the detective say?
"We were made aware of concern for a woman at a property on Jura Street in Glasgow shortly after 8.40 am on Tuesday, 25 April. Officers repomded and the body of a 35-year-old woman was found within", detective chief inspector Cheryl Kelly said according to Daily Mail. "Her death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries remain ongoing. Officers have been carrying out extensive searches of Mugdock Country Park in relation to a missing person in the area. This is being treated as linked to the death at Jura Street and enquiries remain ongoing."
He added, "Our thoughts are very much with everyone affected by this tragic incident. There is not believed to be any risk to the wider public but anyone with information or concerns can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0904 of 25 April. A police presence will remain at both locations as enquiries continue and anyone with information is also urged to speak to any of our officers."
Pregnant Louisiana woman was shot and killed
Meaww previously reported that a nine months pregnant Louisiana woman was allegedly shot and killed along with her unborn child when three teenagers opened fire on her car in a tragic case of mistaken identity. Kerisha Johnson, 36, who was "due to give birth within several days," was found dead after being shot on April 16, while trying to pick up partygoers at a “teen party” in Baton Rouge, as per the arrest warrant.
Police arrested Marques Porch, Gregory Parker, and Derrick Curry in connection with the shooting. They are currently being held at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of second-degree murder and first-degree feticide. It is unclear if any of the 19-year-olds have submitted pleas or hired attorneys.
