LEWISTON, MAINE: Robert Card, the 'person of interest' allegedly behind the Maine mass shooting of October 25, was reportedly driving a white Subaru Outback, as per police.

Lewiston Maine Police Department had released a photo of the suspect's car on their Facebook page, asking for information, as reported by the Sun Journal.

The post mentioned that the white midsize SUV's "front bumper may be painted black."

'Vehicle of interest' located in Lisbon

Mike Sauschuck, the state commissioner for the Department of Public Safety, stated during a press briefing that a 'vehicle of interest' was located in Lisbon, which is about 8 miles southeast of the city of Lewiston.

As the manhunt for Robert Card continues, residents of Lewiston and Lisbon have been told to "shelter in place."

According to CNN, the suspect's car was discovered close to municipal offices.

"Law enforcement in Androscoggin County are investigating two active shooter events. All town offices will be closed on October 26th. Please prioritize safety and continue to shelter in place," a statement on the town website read.

In light of the tragically horrific circumstances, schools in the locality have canceled classes on October 26.

Lewiston Public Schools stated in a post, "There remains a lot of unknowns at this time. Information moves quickly but not always accurately. Please continue to shelter in place or get to safety. We will continue to update you with information and next steps as appropriate."

Where did the shootings take place on October 25?

Mass shooting events were witnessed at two separate locations in Lewiston — a bowling alley and a restaurant.

The first incident was reported at Sparetime Recreation at around 7 pm. The bowling alley had families enjoying the evening playing games when the shooting began, reported CNN.

People, including children, were seen fleeing from the scene by eyewitnesses, who also captured it on video. According to its website, the establishment is located off the main highway that runs through Lewiston, with an arcade and grill that serves food.

The second shooting took place at Schemengees Bar & Grille Restaurant, where a man was reported to have walked in and started shooting.

The restaurant website states that it hosts parties, family celebrations, and corporate events, and comes with an arcade area.
