Maine mass shooting: Suspect Robert Card enjoyed bowling and hunting after serving 20 years in forces
BOWDOIN CENTER, MAINE: Law enforcement sources indicate that the person of interest in the Maine mass shooting, which claimed the lives of at least 22 people, is a qualified firearms instructor who spent two weeks in a mental health institution during the summer.
According to individuals who spoke with The Post, Card is from Bowdoin, Maine, and is thought to be an Army Reservist stationed in Saco.
Card's phone number was marked as inactive, according to the Associated Press. Additionally, it appears that Card recently lost his job, CNN said live on October 25.
According to his now-deleted Facebook page, card served in the army for over 20 years. It appears that he likes hunting and bowling as hobbies.

Card started his attack at the bowling alley around 7:15 p.m., armed with an AR-15-style weapon with a laser optic.
He was operating a white 2013 Subaru: About seven miles southeast of Lewiston, at 11:20 p.m., Androscoggin County Sheriff Eric Samson declared that police had located the car next to the boat pier in Lisbon; however, Card was not within.

Schemengee's Bar & Grill and Sparetime Bowling Alley were the two confirmed venues.
McCarthy claimed to have been informed that Sparetime was hosting a kid's bowling party at the time. When Nichoel Wyman Arel visited the scene, she witnessed a lot of kids coming out of the bowling alley, she told CNN's Laura Coates.
The bowling alley's owner, Justin Juray, called the situation "total chaos."
There were between 100 and 150 people at the bowling alley at the time of the shooting, he stated in a text message to The New York Times. Twenty of the people were youngsters.
At Schemengees, it was cornhole night. A Sun Journal reporter was informed by a source that there were between 14 and 16 people shot at Schemengees.

On Wednesday night, police continued to be in the neighborhood with helicopters hovering above the neighborhood, knocking on doors. Auburn Middle School now has a reunion center open by the authorities.
To tell the president, Joe Biden's state dinner with Australia's prime minister was cut short. Later, Biden called both senators and the governor of Maine, stating that the federal government was prepared to help in any manner it could.
Agents from the FBI based in Boston stated that the Bureau was prepared to help with the search.
