Madonna revealed that she's working on the screenplay of a movie with Academy Award-winning writer Diablo Cody. In a video shared by the pop star on her Instagram, Madonna is seen sitting in her living room with Cody discussing some of the most iconic moments from her four decades-long career. The 62-year-old singer captioned the video, "When you're stuck in a house with multiple injuries what do you do? Write a screenplay with Diablo Cody about..."
Madonna has been working alongside Cody, the screenwriter of movies with female leads like 'Juno', 'Jennifer's Body', 'Young Adult' and 'Tully', throughout the lockdown. According to the short video, the screenplay is going to be centered around music and in all probability, will be a story about the legendary pop star's life. Talking to Cody in the video, Madonna is heard discussing the iconic Jean-Paul Gaultier satin cone-bra look from her 1990 tour prompting fans to believe that the screenplay, too, will be a Madonna biopic.
The singer, in August, shared a video of her working with Cody and captioned it, "Writers for Hire...........Will work for Peanuts Nuts!!! #diablo #madonnalouise."

As for directors, Twitter wants David Fincher, who directed 'Fight Club' and 'Gone Girl', to direct the Madonna biopic.
if the madonna biopic is not directed by david fincher then what it's the point

Interestingly, Fincher first gained prominence as a director after directing the music videos for Madonna's 'Express Yourself' in 1989 and 'Vogue' in 1990. He won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Direction for both the videos.
This won't be Madonna's first experience with the world of films as she has previously written and directed 2011’s period romance 'W.E.' which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. She has also co-written and directed 2005’s 'Filth and Wisdom,' and starred in films like 'Evita,' 'Dick Tracy,' 'The Next Best Thing,' and 'Swept Away.' Cody, on the other hand, won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for 2007’s 'Juno.'
